Qatar club launches Mobile App

12.16pm 6th March 2019 - Course Development

Education City Golf Club in Qatar has become the first golf course in the Gulf State to implement a mobile app for its members and guests.

The app, which was created by CourseMate and is available to downland on iOS and Android, was developed so golfers can instantly access relevant information about the course and gives members easy and instant access to their accounts and online tee booking. While they play, the app also provides GPS distances to the green from precise locations, scorecards, tips and flyovers of the holes.

Other features enable members and guests to kept up to date with upcoming events, see the latest promotions, share their experiences on social media and receive club notifications.

“It was honour to be selected by Education City Golf Club to be their club app partner and use our expertise to create something really special and bespoke to them.” said Jenni Biggs, CourseMate co-founder. “We are looking forward to helping ECGC make a real and impactful change to the way they use digital technology to engage and communicate with members and guests and improve their overall experience at the venue.”

Commenting on the partnership, Education City Golf Club’s General Manager Michael Braidwood said: “Providing members and guests with access to an app will further enhance their experience of the club. Busy, modern lives demand instant access to information and our app does just that. We are looking forward to further developing the great features the app has, to provide a more personal experience and relevant information about our facilities.”
