Power Tee: C’est Magnifique!

2.30pm 14th August 2015 - Course Development

Power Tee at Le Golf National

Power Tee has announced the recent installation at Le Golf National, the next European home for the Ryder Cup in 2018, and reports that the response from the golfers and the team at Le Golf National has been ‘fantastique’.

Paul Armitage, Director of Le Golf National, has created a new ethos within his team and they have certainly embraced the changes he has made. There is a great ambience down at the academy now and the installation of Power Tee was timed for making the maximum impact possible prior to work being commenced on the Albatross course. Members and non- members can enjoy the great atmosphere that has been created down at the range and they are loving using Power Tees.

Whilst over training the team, Power Tee Sales Director, Matt Foley, met with the president of ffgolf Jean-Lou Charon. He loved the Power Tees and was more than happy to hear about the benefits of practice on Power Tee.

Jean-Lou Charon – President ffgolf- said: “When the ffgolf board met after the installation they all went down to use the Power Tees, and to a man they all enjoyed hitting balls. Golf can be fun, should be fun and should be for everyone. The commercial training that has been given by Power Tee to our staff is not only insightful but will be incredibly valuable for us moving forward. The ideas to help us through the winter as well as high season will enable us to appeal to golfers of all abilities, which is our goal.”

The golf team gave some feedback to Matt during the training. The longest serving member of the golf team Philippe Pilato – Customer Service Manager – said: “Having worked here for 20 years I have not seen the range so busy. The left hand side was always busiest but since we have installed Power Tee everyone wants to hit from them. We put Power Tee on our quiet side as we had development plans for that area with a new bar area as well. All of our golfers have told us how much they like using the Power Tees, we knew this as they have hit more balls and spent more money but it is always good to hear positive feedback for the changes we have made.

“People outside of Le Golf National think we are some big club that can do what it wants, but we have to work hard if not harder to attract new golfers, without doubt Power Tee is helping us achieve this with many new faces spending money with us!

“The relationship between both parties will hopefully flourish as Le Golf National is a wonderful facility and Power Tee is the best automated product available worldwide. The philosophies of both companies are in tune and we look forward to Le Golf National becoming the iconic figure it deserves to be for many years to come.”

Paul Armitage said: “We wanted to attract new clients to our driving range and, having experienced Power Tee previously, I knew what it brings to the party, but I have to say that the results on our range are astounding!

“We have a perception for being an elitist facility but the truth is far removed from that. You will no doubt see from the images provided from a regular day that we are open to all. I have known Matt for many years and his enthusiasm for growing golf is refreshing. The team at Power Tee are first class from the installation to the training, we are happy to work with such a reputable company and look forward to many prosperous years ahead together. The future looks very bright for both parties as Le Golf National hosts the French Open again and then the big one in 2018: the Ryder Cup.”

Power Tee continues to grow, with 15 countries now benefitting from the world’s leading automated teeing system. Jim Furyk has signed as an ambassador to join Paul Lawrie in Power Tee’s Major winners’ camp.
