Golf enthusiasts are to be given the chance to become members of an exclusive nine hole Surrey course where some of the great giants of the game including the legendary Seve Ballesteros and US Open Champion Vijay Singh have played in their prime. The intriguing fact has emerged that these two great champions stayed at Pennyhill Park Hotel & The Spa near Bagshot and relaxed on its nine hole course in the evenings after they competed at nearby Wentworth at the PGA Championship and World Matchplay Championship in the 1990s.
Hotel executives have now taken the decision to offer membership to non-residents so that they too can experience the 1,910 yard course favoured by the champions and enjoy the full facilities with the added attraction of the shorter time commitment of a nine hole course and close proximity to a luxurious Spa.
Pennyhill Park Hotel and The Spa also the base for the England Rubgy Team for Home Internationals at Twickenham will offer seven day single, joint and family memberships for the first time next month.
All three memberships will not only offer unlimited golf on the picturesque tree lined course but also day passes at the Spa, plus 10% discount on food and beverages throughout the hotel and Exclusive Hotels Collection from £930 per annum.
All memberships will also include green fee passes at sister properties the Manor House Golf Club, Wiltshire and Mannings Heath Golf Club, West Sussex both voted in the top 100 golf courses inEngland.
More recently, Pennyhill Park Hotel and The Spa has teamed up with Godfreys suppliers of commercial grounds machinery to some of the leading courses in the country and Open Championship venues to enhance the condition of the course.
