As part of its strategic investment programme, Shrigley Hall Hotel, Golf & Country Club, Cheshire, UK, has underlined its commitment to proactive, five-star customer service by investing in a new fleet of golf cars from Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel electric vehicles.

The resort, part of The Hotel Collection’s portfolio of nine properties in the UK, has taken delivery of a fleet of 30 Precedent i2 electric golf cars from the Official Supplier to The European Tour.

“We have made a number of strategic decisions to advance the venue’s facilities for our golfers and therefore didn’t just want a car that would get customers from A to B,” said Tim Hudspith, Director of Golf at Shrigley Hall, Golf & Country Club.

“We have recently undergone a series of course improvement work, including the development of two new closing holes and upgrades to the existing clubhouse, to further enhance the customer experience at the venue.

“We therefore wanted a new fleet of vehicles that would match the standards we have here and with the brand’s reputation, alongside the quality and comfort of the vehicles, it meant Club Car was the obvious choice for us.”

“Given the nature of our hilly parkland course, many people like using golf cars to play their rounds, so we wanted to invest in a reliable and durable fleet,” continued Tim.

“Club Car’s reputation, alongside its superior after-sales customer care, will mean we are able to provide our visitors with unique functionalities and added value to their round of golf.”

To ensure the vehicles are in ideal condition throughout the year, Club Car’s official distributor Oakleys will conduct after-care maintenance and periodic service support, which ensures important components are lubricated, brakes and batteries are in good working order, and charging stations are managed correctly, helping Shrigley Hall, Golf & Country Club keep its vehicles in the safest and most reliable condition.

“Since the implementation of the new golf cars, our course manager and greenkeepers have received a number of compliments on the quality of the vehicles and when taken in conjunction with the high level of service we have received from Oakleys, it proves that our investment in the Club Car vehicles is fully justified,” concluded Tim.
