Murrayshall unveils revised masterplan

1.18pm 29th November 2022 - Course Development

Murrayshall Country Estate has announced revised plans for a new £30 million investment to diversify its facilities, marking the start of a formal consultation programme on the proposals.

The proposals include an extension to the hotel, the erection of lodges within the estate, a café, spa and leisure facilities, formation of camping grounds including erection of glamping pods, outdoor pursuits and sports grounds.

The hotel has submitted a Proposal of Application Notice for each forthcoming planning application to Perth and Kinross Council, commencing the statutory 12-week pre-application consultation period. A public consultation event will be held at Murrayshall on December 12 from 1pm to 7pm, with a further event taking place on January 31. Representatives from the project team will be available to answer questions from members of the public and more importantly, receive feedback on the proposals.

Gary Silcock, General Manager for Murrayshall Country Estate, said: “We are delighted to announce a new masterplan for Murrayshall Country Estate. Further to our previous application, we have listened to the local community and reconsidered our aspirations for the future of the estate.

“This new masterplan would generate substantial benefits for the local economy, and would provide a sustainable future for the Estate, ensuring its resiliency for decades to come. We would encourage anyone with an interest in the proposals to view our project website and to attend our consultation events.”

Murrayshall recently received planning permission to relocate its driving range, making it better-connected and closer to the existing hotel. The associated expansion of the facility also includes a new Golf Academy.
