Little Aston Golf Club has successfully completed the installation of a new £250k state-of-the-art Irrigation system. The Midlands club selected the Rain Bird Stratus PC controlled system, used Irrigation Control for the installation and employed Irritech to oversee the project.

New Club Manager, Iain Burns, added ‘This is another major investment for the club and indicates our desire to continually improve the Little Aston experience for all of our members and guests. It is vital for us to provide the best possible playing surfaces all year round and we are delighted with the work that has been done.’

‘The club are delighted with the new system and were very impressed with the installation by Irrigation Control, who completed the job on time and to a very high standard without any major disruption to the play or maintenance of the golf course’, said Course Manager, Neil Baker. To have this level of work carried out is always a worry but from start until finish the project has been seamless ‘I would also mention the advice and project management from Roger Davie at Irritech, which was invaluable to us and I would recommend this to any club undergoing a similar project.’

“When initially discussing their proposed irrigation system replacement, Little Aston Golf Club conveyed a desire and determination to improve the golfing experience for members and visitors alike. We were only too happy to be part of that vision and by carefully selecting the plant and equipment utilized we were able to ensure that the system was installed with the minimum amount of disruption to the golfers and the course” said Lee Knight, Irrigation Control’s Contracts Director.  “Now that the installation has been completed we are proud that Little Aston Golf Club has been added to our installation portfolio and we look forward to maintaining the partnership we have formed”

Little Aston, voted 29th in England by Golf World in 2014, is an Open Regional Qualifying Series venue and will host the Carris Trophy in 2015.
