Leadingcourses.com unveils 2020 Golfers’ Choice winners

Golf course review website Leadingcourses.com has announced the winners of its Golfers’ Choice Awards for 2020.

The new rankings feature courses from 17 countries and three continents and are calculated on the reviews of golfers on the Leadingcourses.com website, which make it the only user-generated golf course ranking in the world.

Golfers’ Choice Rankings are only released in countries where Leadingcourses.com has enough reviews to create a reliable ranking. To make sure that ratings stay relevant, reviews are devalued over time. Courses from Denmark and Slovenia are both featured for the first time on the basis of this system. The winners and their ratings are listed below.

This year’s ranking feature seven new top-ranked courses. The biggest surprise is in the Spanish ranking, where Finca Cortesín claims the first position for the first time. After being crowned Best Golf Resort in Europe recently, this is the second big prize of the year for the Andalusian club.

In Cyprus, Aphrodite Hills Golf PGA National Cyprus has taken over the top position from Eléa Estate, while newcomers Great Northern and Royal Bled top the ranks in Denmark and Slovenia respectively.

Monte Rei Golf and Country Club in Portugal and De Koninklijke Haagsche Golf & Country Club in The Netherlands have been crowned the best golf clubs according to golfers in their country for the seventh and sixth years in a row respectively.
