Troon Golf, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce that Las Colinas Golf has been making great progress in readying itself for the official launch in May 2010.

Designed by Cabell B. Robinson, one of Europe’s most celebrated designers, Las Colinas Golf will offer guests and residents a desirable and active Mediterranean lifestyle.

Ideally situated along the Mediterranean coast in the Dehesa de Campoamor, between Alicante and Murcia, Las Colinas Golf was conceived with respect to the environment and its surrounds. The 6,448 yard, par 71 course provides a stern yet fair test of golf that has been earmarked as one of Spain’s newest and biggest golf attractions.

“There is much anticipation surrounding Las Colinas Golf in Europe and we are delighted to report that things have been progressing nicely. The condition of the course is really beginning to take shape and it is clear this is set to become a top golf venue,” commented Bruce Glasco, Managing Director of Troon Golf Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Juan Alvarez Lozano, Director of Golf added, “The development has come together beautifully in recent months, and the whole team have worked extremely hard to ensure the course is in the best possible condition. The additional amenities and practice facilities that we have are very impressive and we are excited about opening the doors and building our reputation as one of Europe’s most impressive golf developments.”

Troon Golf has seen continued growth in certain Spanish regions, further embellishing Troon’s position as the market leader in golf course management. With the exclusive Club de Campo La Zagaleta, a member of the company’s exclusive Privé collection, and championship venue La Quinta Golf & Country Club, the completion of Las Colinas Golf will see Troon Golf’s portfolio in Spain and EMEA continue its impressive and consistent growth.
