Kiev Golf Club to open new course by Tema

The construction of the first golfing facility over 9 holes in the Ukraine – Kiev Golf Club master planned and designed by Tema: Peter Chamberlain Golf Course Development, is drawing to a close.

The first 9-holes – a short course (Park Course) comprising 3 par-4 holes and 6 par-3 holes opened last summer and was joined by a second 9-hole full length course (Club Course) that opened on 5th July.

The championship-length course – The Chamberlain Course – will be completely sown by September this year and is due for opening late summer 2010.

The golfing facilities includes a 40 bay covered driving range, 2,000m2 short-game green, a 6,000m2 grass tee area, two golf academy instruction rooms and a "school" room for 20 people.

A 3,000m2 clubhouse/conference center, casino and country club is under construction and an indoor sports center, equestrian centre with polo fields and a residential area for 130 villas is included in the master plan.
