IMG Design has recently signed an agreement with Hebei Shengtai Real Estate Development Co., Ltd to design golf courses at two separate developments in China.
The first 18-hole golf course is located in Cang Zhou City, Hebei Province and with a project site of approximately 2000 Chinese mu in size will include a residential development integrated with an international quality golf course capable of hosting professional golf events. A second 18-hole golf course will be developed in Qinghuangdao City also in Hebei province.
IMG Design has already commenced with its design work on both projects with construction due to start very soon in Cang Zhou and the golf course due to open for play sometime in early 2011. Brit Stenson, IMG’s Director of Design commented, “We are very please to have this opportunity work with the Hebei Shengtai Group on these 2 golf course projects. The site in Cang Zhou like an open canvass and allows us a great opportunity to build a very tournament friendly course that will also be fun and challenging for golfers of all abilities.”
