Gleneagles, Host Venue of The 2014 Ryder Cup and 2019 Solheim Cup and also voted the Number 1 Golf Resort in the World, has started work to introduce the Capillary Concrete system to the bunkers on its famous King’s Course.

Golf Courses & Estate Manager, Scott Fenwick, is heading the team of green keepers and together with local contractor, Greentech Sportsturf, have embarked on a full bunker upgrade of this iconic golf course anno 1919.

“We are always focused on presenting our golf courses in the best possible condition for our golfers throughout the year, and the advanced technology and superior strength of the Capillary Concrete system will help to deliver this in all weather conditions,” said Scott W Fenwick.

Neil Thompson with Border Sports, the official UK Distributor of Capillary Concrete, comments on the start of the project: “We are getting many requests for quotes and installations all over the UK right now and the references on a world-wide basis are outstanding. The combination of a decent price and long lasting performance is really appealing to UK golf courses.”

Border Sports will be at booth C4 at the upcoming BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition
