Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa in Lancashire has undertaken a complete refurbishment of its driving range, including the installation of Toptracer Range.
The refurbishment includes a brand new AstroTurf floor, full re-wire with LED bay and floodlighting, new bay dividers and a Power Tee update.
Formby Hall is currently the first and only golf club on England’s Golf Coast to have a Toptracer driving range installed. Toptracer enables both complete beginners and experienced golfers to trace and analyse their shots on the driving range in the same way TV broadcasters help golf fans track the shots of golf professionals, on-screen, during tournaments.
Each bay has a 21-inch touch screen and ball tracking technology. All shots are captured providing accurate ball flight data and instant statistics, all of which can be stored in the Toptracer app which players are encouraged to download before arrival to access all of the Toptracer features.
A VIP member open evening at Formby Hall officially launched the new facility with a driving competition running on the night. The competition – a selection of nine holes at Pebble Beach – was won by David Davies, who took home a custom fit Callaway Rogue ST driver.
