Faldo carries out site visit to Silk Path Dong Trieu ahead of 2023 opening

9.32am 17th November 2022 - Course Development

Sir Nick Faldo was out in Vietnam earlier this month to carry out a site visit to his golf course design company’s latest design project at Silk Path Dong Trieu golf course.

The 18-hole hole signature championship course will form part of a new $60m resort development located 90km from Hanoi.

During the visit, Sir Nick and his team from Faldo Design reviewed and evaluated each hole under construction and made adjustments on details of his design work to produce a final golf course that is set to open at the end of next year. A 9-hole academy course and a golf teaching academy are also part of the plans.

Speaking during his tour of the venue, Sir Nick said: “I really enjoyed my first site visit to Dong Trieu and am very happy with the golf course progress. We have many great golf holes with interesting features including rock, elevation changes, pine trees, streams, lakes and mountain views. Silk Path Dong Trieu has the potential to become the best golf course in Vietnam and I look forward to seeing the construction progress on my next design visit in 2023.”

Bui To Minh, Chairman of Silk Path Golf Course, said: “With Silk Path Dong Trieu Golf Course it is our vision to deliver a golfing paradise in Vietnam. The golf course will strive to showcase the very best of Vietnam and will aim to attract golfers from all over the world who wish to discover a truly unique and memorable golfing experience.”
