Elea Estate Comes to St Andrews

9.53am 30th June 2010 - Course Development

One of the most important new European golf developments of recent years, Elea Estate in Cyprus, has announced it will have a significant presence in St Andrews to coincide with the Open Championship.

In its own marquee, positioned in St Andrews and just a stone’s throw from the famous Road Hole and 18th tee, representatives from Elea Estate will welcome invited guests, business associates and global media contacts to experience some typical Cypriot hospitality and to learn more about this fabulous new 18-hole golf course, designed by six-time major winner, Sir Nick Faldo.

Ross Robertson, Director of Golf Operations at Elea Estate, said: “The Open Championship at St Andrews offers us the perfect platform to introduce the world of golf to Elea Estate. What’s more, in understanding golf and the spirit of our great game, we are sure that our magnificent golf course, designed by Sir Nick Faldo, will take golf course design to an entirely new level in the Eastern Mediterranean when it officially opens in October. With this in mind we want to tell as many golfers about Elea as possible and there is no better opportunity to do that than at the 150th anniversary of The Open.”

Elea Estate will be welcoming invited guests to its marquee from Wednesday, July 14th to Sunday, July 18th. To learn more about this premier development visit Elea Estate www.eleaestate.com
