Cabot, a leading operator of residential golf resorts has unveiled expansion plans for 2022 and beyond.
Cabot has recently revealed the acquisition and renovation of its first US property, Cabot Citrus Farms in Central West Florida. This 1,200-acre property joins Cabot’s growing portfolio, including Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada, the highly anticipated Cabot Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, scheduled to open in late 2022, and Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia, Canada, scheduled to open in 2024.
The brand has already enjoyed huge success with its first property, Cabot Cape Breton, which opened in 2012 and is home to two world-class golf courses, Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs, as well as a new short course, The Nest.

Cabot Saint Lucia

CABOT SAINT LUCIA
Situated on rugged Point Hardy, a dramatic 375-acre peninsula on the northern tip of the Caribbean Island, the master planned resort community is surrounded by raw, untouched natural beauty. It will include a spectacular golf course designed by renowned architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw which will open for preview play in late 2022, with a grand opening in early 2023.
The residential community, with approximately 300 memberships, will feature luxury accommodations designed by acclaimed British architect Richard Evans for members and guests in addition to a stunning collection of residences ranging from hillside town houses to single-family homes which boast a naturally modern design that embraces the coastal, secluded, and rustic elements of the site.
In addition to stylish turnkey villas, lots for custom-built homes will also be available. Completed comfort stations, a food and beverage offering, retail pop-up and tennis courts will open in late 2022, followed by a beach restaurant and luxury accommodations in early 2023.
Health and wellness facilities also to open next year will include a Beach Club, spa and fitness facility, steam & sauna, and a sports programme. On-site transportation will include golf carts and bicycles, rather than personal vehicles.

Cabot Citrus Farms is due to reopen in 2023

CABOT CITRUS FARMS, FLORIDA
Formerly known as World Woods Golf Club in Central West Florida, Cobot has renamed the site, which is 80km from Orlando, Cabot Citrus Farms. The site is set across 1,200 acres of sandy soil and rolling hills canopied by towering sand pines, palmetto trees and century-old moss-covered oaks.
World Woods was established in 1993 and quickly garnered notoriety for its two championship golf courses, Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks, and impressive practice facilities. Pine Barrens was previously a mainstay on the World Top 100 list, while Rolling Oaks remains one of the top courses in the state.
Cabot Citrus Farms will open in 2023 with world-class amenities including two revitalised 18-hole courses, a par-3 course, a new clubhouse and practice facilities with a putting course and driving range. Real estate will be a key component of the community with sales expected to begin this year.
Cabot Citrus Farms will be complete with retail, restaurants, fitness and spa amenities, communal gathering points and a farmer’s market. While close to urban amenities, the property is located in the central-west region of Florida aptly known as the Nature Coast. Visitors will delight in one-of-a-kind experiences including exceptional hiking, biking and nature trails at neighbouring Withlacoochee State Forest, spring-fed rivers and bountiful lakes at Crystal River, and world-class fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

CABOT REVELSTOKE, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA
2024 will see the opening of Cabot Revelstoke, positioned between the snow-capped mountains of British Columbia and the Columbia River. The resort will feature world class golf, amenities, private residences, and a hotel surrounded by unrivalled natural beauty. The alpine region has multiple opportunities for adventure including heli-skiing, hiking, and fishing. The mountain-style real estate will offer proximity to the golf course as well as ski-in, ski-out access to the slopes. Real estate will be available for purchase this year.
