Cabot Saint Lucia Set To Open In 2022

2.35am 30th June 2021 - Course Development

As the second resort from the acclaimed developers of Cabot Cape Breton, Cabot Saint Lucia will offer a brand-new golf club, boutique resort and residential community located on a spectacular 375-acre peninsula in Saint Lucia. The property will feature a magnificent Coore & Crenshaw-designed 18-hole golf course and a stunning collection of residences ranging from hillside town homes to expansive single-family homes and customizable beachfront lots.

Perched above the Atlantic Ocean and crafted around the cliffs and valleys of Point Hardy’s magnificent landscape, the Cabot Point golf course offers an unparalleled Caribbean golf experience. Designed more by nature than by man, each hole takes on the unique topography of this incredible site.

“This is going to be off-the-charts spectacular,” says golf course architect Bill Coore, who together with two-time Masters winner Ben Crenshaw, make up the course design dream team of Coore & Crenshaw.

Nine of the holes are along the ocean, among them back-to-back par-3s for holes 16 and 17. “You could make an argument that this is the most visually dramatic site with which we have ever worked and that is saying a lot.” says Coore.

He added “We don’t want to make any big alterations on the site—we want to lay the golf quietly on the ground. The result of this is, a course has its own character because it’s of the land it came from.”

Cabot Saint Lucia broke ground on phase one of development in the summer of 2019. The Cabot Point golf course is set to open in 2022.

Earlier this year Cabot engaged the services of Harris Kalinka  to produce this video rendering of holes 14-18 and bring Coore & Crenshaw’s vision for the site to life.
