PGA National Russia has entered the final few weeks of construction. Braemar Golf, Golf Courses Director, Jonathan Pendry and Golf Course Architect, Dave Sampson from European Golf Design recently visited the site and were delighted with the progress and quality being delivered.
The construction is a collaboration between Braemar Golf & local company GeoKam, their first together, with Braemar Golf providing comprehensive management services also.
The PGA National Russia is part of a master-planned community comprising of golf, marinas, residential, hotels, leisure, education & commercial extending to over 1300 hectares. The project is sited on the banks of the River Volga and also strategically located next to the high speed road and train links from Moscow to St Petersburg that is currently under construction. Once complete these essential transport links will ensure that the project is within easy reach of the old and new capitals and major social and business communities.

Construction of the final few holes will be complete in July to allow for grow in and a planned opening in 2012
PGA National Russia is the centre piece of a 1,300 ha master-planned community in Tver Region of Russia, on the shores of the Ivankovskoye reservoir adjoining the Volga River, 90 km away from Moscow. It is set to become one of the landmarks of Russian urban development, a modern place for a work, living, and leisure. The golf course has been designed by European Golf Design. The club will fully open in the Summer of 2012.
