A new state-of-the-art driving range has been built at the south of England’s largest golf complex – Addington Court Golf Centre. Crown Golf, the owners of the Croydon-based centre, has invested £250,000 on the 32-bay covered and heated facility, which will house a golf academy headed up by teaching professional David Bailey.
European Golf Machinery supplied and installed all of the range machinery, including dispensers, hoppers, elevators, tokens, digi-cards, range mats and tees while Hawkley Leisure supplied the range netting.
The new driving range will officially open this Saturday, 8th September, when a host of special events will mark the latest addition to the already impressive complex.
Glen Halsey, Addington Court Golf Centre general manager, said, “We pride ourselves on offering outstanding facilities and service to our members and visitors and this latest addition is a further commitment to this objective.”
Addington Court is one of the top golfing venues in southern England, boasting an 18-hole championship course, a second 18-hole course, a nine-hole course, and an 18-hole pitch and putt, all located in picturesque parkland.
The centre also features two golf shops and excellent teaching facilities for players of all abilities in addition to an attractive function room.
The club is part of the Crown Golf group, the UK’s largest golf course owner with 32 properties in its portfolio and more than 50 courses. With pride in customer service and innovation, it aims to provide an outstanding golf experience for its members and visitors, tailor-made to suit the lifestyles and needs of a wide range of golfers.
Members and visitors can try out the new facility, benefit from free swing assessments by a golf professional and compete in prize-winning longest drive and nearest the pin competitions.
Leading golf club manufacturer Cobra will also be attending to stage a demonstration day with the opportunity to try out the company’s latest performance-enhancing clubs.
