Branston Golf & Country Club, one of the Midlands’ finest golf clubs, has invested £47,000 in the latest top of the range mowers to take its golf course fairways to another level of excellence. Together with recent investment in a back-hoe loader and course maintenance machinery in March last year the Club has invested over £120,000 to support its green-keeping team led by course manager Gavin Robson.
Fitted with the very latest mowing technology Branston’s new John Deere 7700A precision cut mower has pre-settable programme controls, double acting steering cylinders and quick adjust cutting units with automatic mulching all designed to give an unbelievable grass cut with an ideal finish and the luxury look of perfectly striped fairways.
Richard Odell, director of golf at Branston Golf & Country Club, welcoming the arrival of the new mower, said: “In striving for continuous improvement in our facilities and benefits for members we’re delighted to have this superb machine that’ll be taking our golf courses to another level of all year round excellence. Unlike many other golf clubs our membership continues growing as more new and experienced golfers realise the added benefits and enjoyment of Branston’s magnificent facilities and friendliness for which we are famous right across the Midlands.”
“I’m delighted with this new mowing machine that’ll be giving our fairways superb cleanness of grass enabling golf balls to ‘sit up’, and terrific course presentation all coupled with greater efficiency,” said Gavin Robson, Branston’s course manager. “It’s the very best available and a great vote of confidence in our talented green-keeping team who are working hard to achieve the high standard of our Academy and Championship courses.”
