Golf tourism booking platform Zest.Golf Technologies has announced the addition of respected industry expert Jon Schauder to its advisory board.
Schauder is widely known from his 20-plus years with global golf management company Troon, and looks to bring his first-hand knowledge of golf destination and business operations to support Zest.Golf’s mission of connecting more travelling golfers to golf courses.
“Jon and I crossed paths when he was a senior executive at Troon International and I’m delighted to bring that depth of expertise onto our advisory board,” said Oliver Dury, co-founder and CEO of Zest.Golf Technologies. “His specialised business acumen will be a massive benefit to our stakeholders and contribute to how we deliver the best product for our B2B partners and golf courses worldwide, ultimately streamlining the booking process between the tourism and golf industries.”
Schauder commented: “I’ve known Oliver and Jo Maes for many years, and I’m very excited to join Zest’s initiative of connecting as much golfer traffic to golf courses in as efficiently as possible using their leading technology platform. With both golfer supply channels and golf courses getting improved net profit on delivered tee times, I love how this technology is a 100% win-win for what is a key financial driver at golf venues.”
With this announcement, Zest.Golf brings significant golf operational expertise and insight to its knowledge base. Dury continued: “Our goal is to grease the fly wheel for more golfers to be delivered to their favourite destinations, and doing this effectively and efficiently is something that Jon has been intricately involved with for decades. We are looking forward to his intellectual contributions and support as we get more people excited about how our product benefits the market.”
Schauder added: ““We’ve been talking about the opportunities Zest brings to both the golf and tourism industries for some time, and last year we decided to see how we can fast track it more together. In today’s world there is no reason for golf courses or partner tee time suppliers to miss out on the additional profit and efficiency that Zest’s connective technology brings – especially when golf courses are being squeezed in other areas of their business.”
Zest.Golf and Schauder will be at IAGTO’s European Convention in Marbella, Spain from April 24-26 to meet with industry professionals and share the opportunities and benefits of the platform, including the preferred status of all IAGTO members.
