State-of-the-art technology comes to the ancient home of golf following a partnership between AboutGolf Europe and the Old Course Hotel Golf Resort and Spa, St Andrews. Overlooking the iconic Old Course, the Old Course Hotel is offering golfing pro and beginner guests the chance to practice their game, whatever the weather.

The leading European distributors for the highly-acclaimed AboutGolf simulators have installed their AboutGolf Curve model in the hotel, the most advanced and immersive simulator in the AboutGolf Range. It is the ideal equipment for guests looking to brush up on their golf skills, play on new courses or enjoy a golf themed events and parties.  For anyone wanting to practice their game before a competitive match, the Old Course Hotel-owned The Duke’s Course will be rendered for play on the simulator.

Situated on the ground floor near The Pro Shop, the new equipment will be available for all guests and visitors. Thanks to the AboutGolf 1400 and Flii software, they will be able to enjoy playing the world’s leading golf courses including Whistling Straits, host of the 2020 Ryder Cup, short forms of golf and a range of fun drills that will appeal to the whole family.

The simulator is driven by AboutGolf’s proprietary 3trak technology, AboutGolf’s patented, three-high-speed camera and tracking system. Utilising this technology allows the AboutGolf simulators to present every piece of data and information a golfer could ask for, delivering the best indoor golf environment on the planet to the Old Course Hotel.

“At the Old Course Hotel, we are always striving to improve customer experience for all guests and partnering with AboutGolf to provide a simulator experience throughout the year was the ideal next service step for the venue,” said Ayden Robert-Jones, Head Professional at the Old Course Hotel & Spa. “AboutGolf’s approach to ensuring all layout and service requirements were considered as part of the design and delivery of the simulator has allowed us all of the tools required to deliver an unmatched customer experience.”

James Bowker, Director of Sales for AboutGolf Europe, commented: “The opportunity to partner with one of the world’s leading golf destinations is a fantastic opportunity for us and shows the growing belief within the industry of the value of indoor golf simulators and venues. The ability to play, practice, coach and fit in one location will now be possible for all Old Course guests thanks to the data and accuracy that no system other than AboutGolf can provide.”
