Troon Golf®, the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce it has been selected to manage the Gary Player Signature design course at Mazagan Resort. The five-star resort is currently under development along the coastal shoreline of El Jadida, Morocco.
The $350 million first phase of the Mazagan Resort, developed by Kerzner International, broke ground in the summer of 2007 and will be completed in Autumn of 2009. The first phase consists of the 18-hole golf course as well as a 500-room hotel, 12 restaurants, luxurious spa, casino, night club and conference center. The second phase, scheduled to begin in 2012, will include another 18-hole course and an equestrian center as well as two additional five-star hotels that will bring the overall room capacity to approximately 1,000 rooms.
Designed across undulating sand dunes with holes stretching alongside the Atlantic coastline, the par 72 golf course will provide stunning views at every tee box, fairway and green. Golf legend Gary Player’s signature design is clearly evident throughout the entire course, which will offer a fair challenge to golfers of any playing level. Immaculate fairways and flawless greens will complete the golfer’s experience with the help of gentle sea breezes and clear, sunny skies.
