Troon Expands Impressive Middle East Portfolio

The signing of Troon to manage the golf development within the Al Zorah Project, Ajman once again reiterates the confidence owners place in the unerring quality and expert knowledge the market-leader offers in the creation of the world’s most desirable resorts.

The Al Zorah golf expansion, where Troon are working in collaboration with Nicklaus Design, the company of legendary 18-time Major Champion – Jack Nicklaus, will include an 18 hole championship layout with extensive practice facilities. Set within a stunning natural environment, with costal dunes and an in-land Mangrove area, the highly desirable location will provide golfers with a flawless waterfront golf experience, complete with pristine course conditioning. The luxurious clubhouse will boast superior levels of service and hospitality synonymous with the Troon brand as well as an extensive range of amenities. The Al Zorah Project, which is the master-plan of Solidere International in partnership with the Ajman Government, stretches along 2km of sandy shoreline with stunning views of the Arabian GulfSea and further natural wonders such as lagoons, creeks and a natural mangrove forest. Ease of access will be a common theme in the Al Zorah Project, with the course conveniently linked to the Village Centre and a plethora of leisure facilities within the project.

The Middle East portfolio has seen substantial growth since its creation in 2004, with the Al Zorah Project increasing the amount of existing venues in the region benefitting from the market-leaders expert knowledge to a total of six in the UAE as well as The Royal Golf Club in Bahrain and The National Golf Club in Azerbaijan. Other UAE venues include Abu Dhabi Golf Club, home to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship; The Els Club, Dubai; Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Abu Dhabi; The Address Montgomerie, Dubai and The Track Meydan in the stunning background of the Meydan Racetrack, Dubai.
