Following a successful career with Adidas, Tom formed his own sports retail company which he sold on to Blacks Leisure. He then became CEO of Blacks before taking up the CEO role at JJB, which grew successfully and profitably during his tenure. Since 2007 he has run a consultancy company providing advice to institutions and assistance to one of the largest online retailers. Tom has completed projects for Manchester City as well as JD Sports.
“Tom has an established reputation with major sports brands, the investment community and with fellow colleagues, for honesty, integrity and professionalism,” said Anthony Franklin, fibodo’s Founder. “His dedication to the greater good and his talent for leading successful, high-growth sports industries make him an invaluable Chairman and addition to our board. We are proud to welcome him to the fibodo family.”
“I’m incredibly excited to be part of a cutting-edge technology company, that removes the barriers to participation in sports and activities, whilst supporting the people who help us all live happier, healthier lives,” said Tom. “Ever since I began speaking with Anthony, it has become more and more obvious to me, that fibodo fulfils a requirement for numerous parties. From the individual looking to get active, to the independent coach running their business, to the club trying to grow its membership, fibodo fits. fibodo will do for the sports and activities market, what AirBnB has done for the travel industry.”
fibodo (find it. book it. do it.) provides an online and mobile IT solution, accessible to all. It gives an individual, club or business the online tools to sell their time-based products and services, whilst engaging customers through a secure end-to-end booking experience.
fibodo is also good for corporates. fibodo’s b2b arm provides companies with an online platform (private) that allows them to improve not only their employee health and wellbeing but also improve performance through greater engagement and involvement.
“We believe technology should work, make things simple, so we created fibodo,” said Anthony.
