Titleist was first choice Ryder Cup ball.

No matter which team emerged triumphant at Oakland Hills this weekend, the market leading golf ball brand, Titleist, was always going to be the #1 golf ball once again

When the teams gathered at Oakland Hills last week, 17 of the 24 players chose to tee up with a Titleist ball.
On the victorious European team 10 of the 12 played Titleist. Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood both use the lower spinning Pro V1x, favoured by players who generate high ball speed and/or high spin. Other Pro V1x players on the team included Thomas Levet, David Howell and Luke Donald. Paul Casey prefers the legendary Pro V1 that delivers exceptionally long driver distance whilst maintaining its unique Drop-and-Stop™ performance around the green.
On the US team 7 of the 12 placed their faith in Titleist. Full line Titleist ambassador Davis Love III was joined by Ryder Cup debutants Chad Campbell, Kenny Perry and Chris Riley as Pro V1x players on the US team. Former USPGA Champion David Toms, full line Titleist player Jay Haas and debutant Chris Di Marco teed up with the Pro V1.
Titleist continues to be the #1 ball on the European and US tours each week. As viewers of advertisements on Sky TV’s coverage will have noted, Europe and America’s best players may have been divided by nationality and by loyalty to their team but they shared a trust in Titleist golf ball technology when playing in golf’s toughest match.
