Titleist on Top at The Open

12.55am 24th July 2007 - Corporate

Not content with winning the ball count at the final Open qualifying events (91%) and at the event itself (61%) – for a staggering 28th consecutive year – Titleist then brought home the winner himself, as Pro V1x player Padraig Harrington achieved his first ever Major victory at the 136th Open Golf Championship in Carnoustie.

His win on Sunday was the 1,006th victory for the Pro V1 franchise since its Tour introduction in October 2000. Ever since Billy Andrade won the Invensys Classic in the autumn of 2000, the legendary Pro V1 family of golf balls has become the new Millennium’s biggest golf success story, enjoying consistent success across the world Tours week after week.

This weekend has seen Titleist exceed 110 wins for the season, more than 7 times the nearest competitor. Over the years Titleist has been able to consistently improve the Pro V1 and move golf ball performance to a new level and the Pro V1’s 1006th victory provides further proof that the game’s elite choose the superior performance of Titleist above all others.
