Titleist launches new short game tools

12.20am 28th February 2006 - Corporate

Over the years Scotty Cameron and Bob Vokey have built a reputation for producing putters and wedges for the world’s best players that inspire confidence on and around the greens.
Scotty Cameron by Titleist putters and Vokey Design wedges have been the top choice of more players and more champions on the US Tour than any other brand, and Titleist has further solidified its high performance product offering with the introduction of the new Scotty Cameron by Titleist Circa 62 putters and an additional loft/bounce option in the popular Vokey Spin Milled wedge series.
The Circa 62 is a series of putter created from soft 8620 carbon steel that embody the best design features from a classic putter generation around 40 years ago. There are four designs to choose from that all feature a high toe profile and draft sole with negative bounce to promote a proper face angle and loft set up and ensure the head never sits closed at address. They all feature a Black Oxide finish that will tarnish over time to create the classic appearance, and black leather grip, with a unique stitching pattern running up the back rib, delivering outstanding feel and a vintage look.
The Circa 62 putters, named after Scotty Cameron’s year of birth and to reflect the classic designs, are available as stock in 35” shaft length. The Circa 62 #2 model is also available in left hand. Each putter has 71° of lie and 4° of loft and each putter comes with a ‘honey’ headcover. They will begin shipping to golf shops in the UK in March with a suggested retail price of £190.00
Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges are unique products that provide a truly discernable performance option – increased spin. By working with Tour players to create wedges that performed under the most challenging conditions, Bob has developed a precisely machined, tight tolerance groove that provides the player with increased spin or both full and partial wedge shots. Vokey Spin Milled wedges feature a CNC machined face and grooves to deliver 30% more groove volume than a conventional wedge. This provides more consistent and higher spin, particularly from grassy lies and wet conditions.
For 2006, the Vokey Spin Milled series has been extended to offer a 54 ° wedge that features the classic 200 Series teardrop shape, high peak toe, shallow heel design that has proved so popular on tour and amongst serious golfers throughout the world this year. The Spin Milled line up now comes in 2° increment from 54° to 60° with two bounce options in each loft. The 54° Vokey Spin Milled wedges will begin shipping in March 2006 and will retail for £90.00.
