The online golf club and social networking community TheSocialGolfer.com (TSG) and the largest golf deals operator in the UK, Golf Deals Group (GDG), have teamed up to form a content partnership for 2016,

TheSocialGolfer.com will host a unique ‘Golf Deals Group’ page within the site and promote the GDG offers via both its monthly newsletter (5k+) and via TSG mail. In return, Golf Deals Group will host over 4k+ TSG golf courses reviews on its offer pages, all provided by the TSG members.

The partnership will also include sponsorship of TSG Golf events and include reciprocal Social Media promotions and activity.

Since its official launch five years ago, TSG has firmly established itself as one of the most useful golfing websites in the South East and all over the UK. The site was named Microsoft Start-Up of the day in 2010, short-listed to be an Official England Golf Partner in 2014 and is currently a Top 25 Influencer in Golf on Twitter. In early 2015, it won ‘Best Sports Website’ at the Essex Digital Awards. The site currently has over 4,500 registered users in the UK and 9,000+ worldwide.

The agreement, negotiated between golf Deals Group Managing Director Stephen Cooper and TSG Managing Director, Ian Mullins will last from March 2016 to February 2017 and possibly beyond.

Commenting on the deal, Cooper said, “We have been talking to Ian regards The Social Golfer website community for a while now and with their continued growth and can do attitude, it was easy for us to agree on how we can work together. We have similar views on how we see the ‘future’ of the golf industry developing over the next few years and TSG will provide us with a great platform on which to grow awareness of our brand and offers.”

Mullins said, “Upon meeting with Steve and his team, it quickly became very obvious that our two brands complimented each other perfectly and we are very proud to be entering into this partnership with Golf Deals Group. We believe it will provide our members the opportunity to play some great course at some great prices. We are really looking forward to working with Steve and providing an even better service to our members and societies in 2016.”
