Tacit Golf brands the Old Course for University of St Andrews 600th Anniversary

9.32am 5th September 2013 - Corporate

Scotland’s first university, The University of St Andrews, celebrates its 600th anniversary this year and aims to raise a staggering £100 million! The Tacit St Andrews Uni #1University is hosting a series of events to achieve that goal with the money that will help sustain their future for a further 600 years.

As part of the celebrations, a 3-day golf tournament took place over The Duke’s and Kingsbarns concluding on the Old Course on a Sunday, normally reserved for recreation and dog walkers.

Helping to enhance the event was Tacit Golf, tournament and golf day branding specialists who supplied the feather flags, innovative banner system, tee markers and pin flags.

Tacit Golf Managing Director, Tim Webb commented “It was a real honour to be involved with the University’s celebrations and we are very proud to supply our products to such a prestigious event.”

On reflection, PhilPass, Golf 600 Coordinator at the University, commented: “The event went very well and the players commented on the additional touches we made, such as the flags, that really made it feel professional. This is in no small part down to the quality of Tacit’s products. I particularly like the feather flags, so easy to put up and down and move to each event. They’re getting a good amount of usage now at other university events so that is great.”

Tacit, a PGA Official Supplier, have been producing, printing and embroidering their own products from their base in Rugby, ensuring the quality and service synonymous with the brand for well over 30 years.
