British sportwear brand Reflo has reported that it has recycled the equivalent of over 140,000 plastic bottles, planted over 16,000 trees and offset 250 tonnes of carbon during its first year of trading.
The brand has also signed a number of high-profile global partnerships and has been worn by some of the world’s most successful sportsmen and women. The company also has a growing e-commerce site that delivers globally through their green fulfilment.
Rory MacFadyen, founder of Reflo said: “The idea and mission of Reflo was dreamt up whilst I sat at home during the COVID lockdown. I saw a gap in the fast fashion market for a high-performance sportswear brand that also leaves a positive impact on the planet. The devastation the apparel industry was wreaking on the planet was clear to see, so we created Reflo to tackle the issues that other brands simply are not.
“We couldn’t be prouder of the success our team has achieved in our first 12 months, but this is just the start. We have lofty ambitions. In the next year and beyond, we will grow our team, launch new ranges, expand our womenswear, sign new partnerships, collaborations and push into retail. We’re not perfect – that’s what pushes us to keep improving.”
Reflo’s growth has been driven by several high-profile collaborations with world-leading brands and rights holders who share their values and ethos. Reflo is apparel partner of The Icons Series, which saw global superstars including Canelo Alvarez, Ernie Els, James Milner, Ash Barty, AB De Villiers wearing the brand this year.
Reflo have also partnered with Extreme E Team, Veloce with their drivers and support crew wearing Reflo technical apparel at all events. The Trust Golf Scottish Open also partnered with Relfo for the tournament at Dundonald Links.
The Reflo community has exploded across the year, galvanizing the support of several prominent personalities in the fields of sports and lifestyle behind their shared commitment to sustainability. Comedian and actor Tom Davis, England cricketer Phil Salt, actor James Farrah, Australian cricketing icon Justin Langer and rugby union player Alex Goode are all avid fans of the brand regularly engaging their followers about their experiences with Reflo.
