Adams Golf, Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren have recently joined 80 other industry leading brands such as FootJoy, PING and TaylorMade in supporting XCodes, an industry wide catalogue of standardised product data from Crossover Technologies.

The programme, designed by Crossover Technologies – the golf industry’s leading provider of retail management solutions – in the last two years, now has data of more than 500,000 products, assisting retailers to manage their business by significantly reducing administration time, enabling greater stock control and offering comprehensive reporting.

In the last 12 months Adams Golf, Boss Green, Hi Tech, Ivanhoe, Ralph Lauren, Rife Putters, SkyCaddie, Stromberg and Yes! Golf have all supplied information toward the 157,000 new products to the system, making life easier for PGA Professionals and retailers across Europe.

“XCodes has been extremely beneficial to my business,” said Kieron Gaskell, PGA Professional at Kirby Lonsdale Golf Club, Cumbria. “Previously I would have to enter stock details into my EPOS system manually and use a spreadsheet to keep an eye on stock levels. It could take anything up to a week to get everything inputted. However, with XCodes it can all be done instantly, in fact I managed to input my entire product range in just two days.”

Covering both golfing software and hardware XCodes covers a wide range of manufacturers in the golf industry from small suppliers to market leaders.

Teena Farrell, Crossover Technologies Product Manager, added: “XCodes can be easily downloaded to a retailer’s XPos system, increasing automation and reducing manual input. Searching for products is made simple by scanning a barcode or searching by various criteria.

“The data held within XCodes is also key to the success of projects we work on with the leading golf retail services groups such as the TGI Golf Partnership, Foremost Golf, Golfstore and the manufacturers themselves.

“Our vision is for XCodes to house data on absolutely every golf product available for retailers to download”
