British golf trolley manufacturer Stewart Golf is celebrating yet another award, after picking up International Business of the Year at the inaugural SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards.
CEO Mark Stewart, along with Production Manager Ash Hunt (himself a finalist in the Employee of the Year award), accepted the ward on behalf of the Quedgeley-based company.
On receiving the award, Stewart said: “We were stood at the back and looked at the other finalists – ALS Mechatronic, Dowty Propellers, SLG Brands – and just to be listed with them was special, but to win was phenomenal.”
The award was presented to Stewart Golf in recognition of the continued international growth of business, amidst the continued challenges of Brexit and the pandemic.
The company has been a net exporter since 2018, setting up its own subsidiary in the USA to better serve the world’s biggest golf market. In the last 12 months, Stewart Golf has exported its range of Remote and Follow electric trolleys over 45 countries.
The company launched its Q Follow trolley last November, and has recently expanded the range to include the new X10 Follow and Q Remote, all or which propelled Stewart Golf to report record monthly sales in June. Total European sales increased by 16% last year and exports now account for almost 75% of all sales.
