Locating all GNC stock in one central UK location, the fully comprehensive warehouse enables fast fulfilment using the proven Footwear & Apparel Management (FAM) business system from Redrose Software to effectively manage and track individual orders right across the UK and Europe.
Working alongside GNC’s customer services unit in Lancaster, the new dedicated production team, headed up by an experienced logistics and distribution manager, will use the FAM system to create detailed management reporting at every step, synchronizing the full team and enabling fast and accurate order processing and despatch, whatever the size or location.
Furthermore, the state-of-the-art product picking facilities are located in the same building as the company’s specially selected advanced Barudan embroidery machines, enabling fast and efficient cresting.
The company is committed to offering a stock service on its popular ‘Essentials’ and ‘Play Dry’ pieces and plans to build these ex-stock levels to offer customers immediate order turnaround across many lines.
This significant investment signifies a new chapter in the label’s history and is destined to set a new benchmark for accurate order turnaround and cresting opportunities. A new 600 ft showroom is also being created in this unit and is being dressed with AW 09 product ready for retail launch from February.
