St. Andrews Links recently became the first golf club in the UK to implement the revolutionary range solution from TrackMan. TrackMan Range is a digital system which allows range goers to track their shots via a free app on their tablets or phones. The app offers features for practice and gaming purposes and can be played alone or in groups.

With the system in place, players at the St Andrews Links Golf Academy can now enjoy the same technology used by the best players in the world, including players like Justin Rose, Justin Thomas, Francesco Molinari and the world’s number one, Dustin Johnson. Using the app, players can review and analyze their shots key parameters including Ball Speed, Launch Angle, Launch Direction, Height, Carry, Total, Side and From Pin. For improved distance control, a player’s range ball data can be converted into premium ball data, making the practice session even more efficient and ‘course-play’ realistic.
Practice With Purpose Or Have Fun Playing Games
In addition to gathering performance data on each shot, the TrackMan Range app also offers three fun games, which can be played alone or with friends. Games include Capture the Flag, Hit It, and Bulls-eye. Furthermore, the app’s graphics are an exact replica of St Andrews Links Golf Academy’s very own range, making the experience even more realistic and engaging.
