Srixon add new Z-URC golf ball

12.05am 7th November 2006 - Corporate

Srixon Sports, a world leader in golf ball and golf club technology, have announced the addition of the Z-URC golf ball to their already highly successful Z-UR series of products. Like its tour winning cousins Z-UR and Z-URS, the Z-URC features a revolutionary, ultra thin urethane elastomer cover that is the company’s softest ever.
The new ball has a highly resilient large Energetic Gradient Growth core with a high velocity boundary layer and a 330 high trajectory dimple pattern. The spin function is greater on approach shots because of the high quality and great softness of the urethane cover. This allows the golfer to play aggressively because the ball is so controllable on the greens.
The incredibly thin cover, surrounding the highly resilient large Energetic Growth Core, provides greater resilience and initial velocity for the highest possible speed and subsequent exceptional carry. In addition, an aerodynamically superior 330 dimple pattern provides low spin and a high trajectory with a strong penetrating ball flight that maximises carry and ensures top performance in the wind.
The Z-URC is a 100+ compression ball that is ideal for those golfers who generate a faster club head speed. All round, the Z-URC offers superior tour performance with optimum control and exceptional distance.
In 2005 Srixon Sports had 31 international tour victories with their golf balls and have now had 31 to date also in 2006. In the UK market Srixon balls have achieved a number two brand position over recent months in retail audit figures (* source – Sports Marketing Surveys Limited)
The Z-URC will be available in leading on and off course retail outlets from February 1st 2007 with a suggested retail price of £39.99 per dozen.
