Golf technology company Shot Scope has moved its headquarters to larger premises on the outskirts of Edinburgh to accommodate the growing workforce after a successful round of Series B funding worth $8.5 million.
With new additions to the management team, sales department, and support staff, a larger headquarters was necessary.
Shot Scope CEO David Hunter said: “We’re thrilled to announce Shot Scope is moving to our fantastic new office space. The company has grown internationally in the past two years, with customers in over 160 countries. The move allows us to continue our ambitious growth plans servicing customers worldwide from the Home of Golf here in Scotland.”
Scottish Enterprise has been a key partner in Shot Scope’s journey from the outset, supporting the company from startup to global brand by providing a variety of support, including £1.75m of innovation funding and £3.3m of investment into the company.
Adrian Gillespie, the organisation’s chief executive, was on site to unveil Shot Scope’s new headquarters on November 6. He said: “Shot Scope is a fantastic example of an ambitious Scottish business who are developing innovative golf technologies for international markets.
“With our help, the company is accelerating its international plans, recruiting new talent to support its expansion, and developing its excellent products for new global markets. Its impressive new headquarters reflect that ambition and we look forward to continuing to support David and his terrific team in the future.”
To help with the company’s 2025 expansion plans, the new headquarters will allow Shot Scope stockists and retailers to attend educational conferences. These events will allow staff members to learn more about the brand’s products, services, and software. This will further develop their employees’ understanding of the brand, elevating product knowledge and selling potential.
