Ryder Cup Europe selects Grayling

Grayling, the global public relations and government relations consultancy, has been appointed by Ryder Cup Europe to manage their international communications programme in the run-up to the next  home staging of The Ryder Cup which will take place at The Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire, Scotland, in September 2014.

The appointment was made following a comprehensive pitch process with Grayling being awarded the brief to manage a programme focusing on Scotland, the rest of the UK and Europe. Partnered with specialist golf PR boutique, Landmark Media International, communications activity will span the preparation and build-up phases of the event as well as the prestigious three days of the competition from September 26-28, 2014

In addition to promoting The 2014 Ryder Cup, the programme will also include a focus on the French market to pave the way for the 2018 event at Le Golf National in Paris and possible future editions of The Ryder Cup in mainlandEurope.

Grayling’s Scottish team, based inEdinburgh, will provide a dedicated Scottish press office and support the stakeholder engagement programme, while the company’sLondonoffice will lead the European media relations programme.
