RUFF Golf, the fast-growing golf entertainment golf brand, is teeing off its next chapter with the launch of its first outdoor miniature golf entertainment center in Linz, Austria.

Spanning over 1,200 square metres, this flagship venue marks the company’s expansion from indoor experiences into open-air leisure, while also serving as the pilot site for RUFF’s new European franchise model.

Since 2022, RUFF Golf has made a name for itself by redefining mini golf with a modern, urban twist. With five state-of-the-art indoor venues already operating across the DACH region — in Linz, Scharbeutz, Lucerne, Bern, and Düsseldorf — the brand continues to grow at pace. A Frankfurt-area location is slated for 2025, with further sites in development across Europe.

Markus Gaggl, CEO of RUFF Golf DACH, says: “We don’t just want to modernise mini golf; we want to create something completely new. We are inspired by American putt-putt, but combine it with high-class design, urban flair, and social entertainment, always with a nostalgic twist.”

RUFF’s distinctive offerings include custom-designed courses with high-quality artificial turf, integrated food and beverage service, and an emphasis on fun and connection over traditional scorekeeping. It’s a formula resonating with families, friends, corporate groups, and date-night crowds alike.

Having launched its indoor concept in Utrecht earlier this year, RUFF is now eyeing international markets including Scandinavia, Benelux, the UK, and France. The company aims to operate 30 venues by the end of 2025, with a long-term vision of up to 100 across Europe.
