Ram Golf has unveiled its new putter, the impressive FX9. A contemporary medium-sized mallet design, the stylish putter incorporates Ram’s innovative new weight port system, developed to allow golfers to customise the club to best suit their individual putting stroke.
With a highly stylised head design, Ram technicians developed the FX9’s clubhead to allow additional weighting to be positioned at strategic points around its perimeter to produce a stable putting platform. The resulting low, deep centre of gravity, and high moment of inertia, combine to promote the necessary launch conditions to deliver the consistently true roll that all golfers covert.
Integrated into the FX9’s sole is Ram’s revolutionary adjustable weight port system (AWPS). The precision engineered weight port allows golfers to easily change the performance characteristics of the putter by simply interchanging a series of performance weight screws. With the option of 8, 12, or 16 gram weight screws, golfers can easily fine tune the versatile putter by simply using the FX9 tuning tool supplied.
The FX9’s clubface incorporates a CNC milled soft aluminium face insert to deliver the soft yet responsive feel that promotes superior touch and control on the greens. The performance properties of the lightweight metallic insert lowers the centre of gravity in the clubface producing a higher launch angle and lower spin rate at impact, allowing the ball to accelerate faster off the clubface with reduced bounce for unparalleled control and a smoother roll.
Finished in a stylish nickel look that reduces glare at address, the FX9 features a vibrant alignment system designed to help golfers square the clubhead with its intended target at the point of impact. Three thick white sight lines across the top of the clubhead combine to provide a vivid alignment aid which ensures that the FX9 is exceptionally easy to aim.
Reinforcing Ram’s commitment to use components from some of the world’s leading suppliers, the FX9 putter is fitted with Winn’s innovative AVS vertical seam grip technology. Giving the appearance of a wrap less grip, a single vertical seam is hidden along the back of the grip eliminating any twisting issues that can be experienced with wrap grips. A firm but tacky feel, the Winn AVS grip delivers the unrivalled feel and touch required around the green.
Supplied with a distinctive black/orange head cover that protects the clubhead from wear and tear, Ram’s new putter is available in a 35” True Temper shaft. The Ram FX9 putter is available from leading golf stores and pro shops with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of £49.99.
