PowaKaddy goes rental

8.45am 23rd April 2004 - Corporate

PowaKaddy has announced the introduction of a new initiative, which will allow more people to experience the benefits of using a PowaKaddy electric golf trolley.
A new rental fleet scheme this April will allow club professionals to lease purchase a minimum of two Classic Legend machines from PowaKaddy, over a 6 or 9 month period, which can then be hired out to golfers.
PowaKaddy’s lease purchase scheme is self-financed, which means that they are able to control the entire scheme and offer preferential repayment rates, as there is no third party involvement. At the end of the lease period the final payment transfers ownership of the Classic Rental machines directly to the golf club professionals and managers.
PowaKaddy’s UK marketing and sales director, David Wells, considers the Classic Rental scheme to represent a great revenue opportunity for participating courses, where the returns will more than justify the investment. “Early indications from our research show that golf club professionals and managers should expect to recoup their investment from rental sales well before they make their final lease purchase payment. We are confident in this scheme. Once a good golfer has played a round using a PowaKaddy they‘ll never look back.”
The Classic Rental machines have been equipped with clip-on rental boards to enable golf course professionals to promote the hire fleet to members and visitors and there are also opportunities to brand the rental machines by adding a club crest. Extra features include special Air tyres and heavy-duty batteries.
