TGI Golf, Europe’s leading buying group for golf professionals, has awarded PING its ‘Top Equipment Supplier of the Year’ title for a third successive year, following the announcement of its Supplier Survey results.
The TGI Golf Suppliers’ Survey, which has been running for 10 years, is a benchmark of quality and provides valuable feedback to both accredited suppliers and members of the group.
Conducted through the secure members’ area of TGI Golf’s website, www.tgigolf.com, the survey gives the group’s members the opportunity to rate how the various accredited suppliers have performed over the year.
The ratings take account of performance factors including product saleability, quality and availability, delivery, retail price consistency, service, accounting functions and regional representative performance.
Eddie Reid, TGI Golf Managing Director, said: “It is a tremendous effort by PING to have won this award three years on the bounce. Its products have proved extremely popular with our members and it has backed this up with excellent customer service.
“TGI Golf works extremely closely with both its members and accredited suppliers to ensure both enjoy great benefits from working together and the winners of these awards provide the perfect example of this.
“It is always pleasing for us to award companies for their performance in many categories rather than just financial turnover, and that’s what the Suppliers Survey enables us to do.”
Steve Carter, PING UK Sales Manager, added: “PING is extremely proud to win the top supplier of the year award with TGI Golf for the third year in a row.
“We appreciate that all TGI Golf members have choices and we hope that through the quality of our people, our products and our service, we will continue to earn the members’ support for many years to come.
“We assure every TGI Golf member we will never take their support for granted and we remain committed to improving everything we do to grow our valued business together in the future.”
Other winners from this year’s TGI Golf Suppliers’ Survey included Galvin Green in the apparel section and Titleist in the golf ball sector while FootJoy once again walked tall in the footwear category.
