In the same week that its staff player, Lee Westwood moved to Number 1 in the World Rankings, it was also announced that leading golf equipment manufacturer, PING retained its status as “Supplier of the Year” with Foremost members for an impressive 3rd successive year.

The annual Foremost awards which were announced at the recent Gala Dinner that preceded the Golf Show 2010 in Harrogate proved to be a particularly fruitful evening for PING. In addition to winning the most prestigious award of the evening, PING also topped the overall Woods category and its hugely-successful G15 range topped both the Iron and Hybrid categories.

The Foremost awards cap a momentous year for PING with its customers. In July PING was voted Hardware Supplier of the Year for the 2nd successive occasion by TGI Golf and the following month was recognised in the GolfStore Supplier Assessment as their Number 1 Supplier for 2009/2010 in Germany/Austria and Sweden.

“To be presented with this major award at the same time as our staff player, Lee Westwood becoming the first Englishman since 1994 to sit atop the World Rankings is an extremely proud moment for our brand. As always it is particularly pleasing when the hard work and dedication you put in providing a first-class product range and service is recognised by your customers,” commented John Clark, Managing Director, PING Europe

“The G15 and i15 ranges have been a phenomenal success for PING and we believe that together with our new K15 range we have a comprehensive product line-up that caters for golfers of all abilities,” he added.

“Ping have retained their ‘Foremost Supplier of the Year 2010’ for the third year in succession and are once again worthy winners,” said Andy Martin, Director of Supplier Services for the Foremost Group.

He added, “Our members have once again recognised the consistent terms, exceptional service, and excellent support given by Ping to the green-grass professional in what are challenging trading conditions. The brand continues to deliver a strong fitting message that works in conjunction with the professional channel ultimately delivering sales for our retailers”
