PING was crowned as the Supplier of the Year at the recent TGI Golf Awards dinner held at Marriott Worsley Park near Manchester.
It was the latest in a long list of Awards that PING has won at the prestigious annual TGI Golf dinner having previously collected the Supplier of the Year Award in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and the Hardware Supplier of the Year Award in both 2011 and 2012
PING Europe Managing Director, John Clark, received his company’s latest Award from Gordon Stewart, TGI Chairman and the PGA Professional at Cawder Golf Club on the outskirts of Glasgow.
The Supplier of the Year Award is decided using the results from the extensive TGI Golf Supplier Survey, which is completed by the group’s Partners. Each supplier is ranked out of five on a substantial list of factors including product quality, customer service, price and delivery.
Receiving the Award Clark said: “We are delighted to have won TGI’s Supplier of the Year Award for the fourth time in six years and thank the group’s Partners for their continued support.
“It says something about the whole company and everyone in it to win this award again, everyone in the office will have a big smile on their face when I get back and tell them the news.
“As a brand PING is about maintaining high standards of product, service and quality, and that’s what you need to win awards like this. I thank TGI Golf Partners for recognising our efforts and look forward to working with them for mutual success in the future.”
Eddie Reid, TGI Golf Managing Director said: “PING is widely recognised within the group as a brand of honesty and integrity and has been a tremendous supporter of TGI Golf and the green grass professional for many years.
“PING enjoyed a fine year with the TGI group in 2013, with its figures remaining steady throughout the season, maintaining their share of the market as well as turnover and margin within the TGI Golf Partnership.”
