Par 4 celebrates 25 years as Toro Irrigation contractor

12.07am 6th June 2006 - Corporate

Irrigation design and installation specialist Par 4 has reached an important milestone in its history and is celebrating 25 years as a Toro Irrigation contractor. Based in Ripon, Yorkshire, the company was formed in 1981 and is the longest-serving Toro irrigation contractor in the country. It offers a full irrigation design, build, installation and service operation, employing 25 staff, 18 of whom are involved in the installation side.
Owner and chairman Eddie Simms commented, “A quarter of a century with one manufacturer says a lot about the product and the support we receive from them. Toro has probably the best product on the market and consistently provides reliable solutions. I think it’s been a real partnership with Toro, and also with their distributors Lely, and together we have grown the business to what it is today.
“Of course, we couldn’t have achieved this without a superb team at Par 4, so I must thank everyone here for their commitment and dedication.”
Par 4’s core business is golf, but they also work for homeowners and have a whole range of sports customers on their books, including top-flight football clubs such as Middlesborough and Sunderland.
Andrew Brown, Toro corporate accounts manager, said, “I am delighted to offer my personal congratulations to Eddie and his team on their 25th anniversary. Par 4 is one of the most respected irrigation companies working in the UK today, with an unrivalled reputation for excellent customer support. Few other companies have established such long-term relationships with their customers and Toro is very grateful for the company’s loyalty. We look forward to continuing our close relationship over many years to come.”
