The On Course Foundation is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with Medi8 Limited to deliver its PR in the United Kingdom. The On Course Foundation is the country’s only golf charity dedicated to supporting the recovery of wounded, injured and sick Service personnel and Veterans. Medi8 will be responsible for raising its profile across the entire golf industry.
Founded in 2010 by former Senior VP at IMG John Simpson, the charity has grown year on year mainly thanks to the enthusiasm of its beneficiaries and of its Patrons, amongst whom are HRH Duke of York and Arnold Palmer.
As well as holding monthly golf skills events, which are open to any Service men or women in recovery, the On Course Foundation also finds work experience placements and guides members through industry-specific qualifications for those who wish to pursue a career in the golf industry.
“We have really ambitious plans for the future,” commented Steve Holt Managing Director of the On Course Foundation. “We realised that in order to reach our objectives, the time had come to seek the support of a specialist agency to help us raise the profile of the charity across all of our target areas. Medi8’s enthusiasm for the project is clearly matched by their knowledge and contacts. We can’t wait to get started on the next chapter.”
After taking part in a golf skills event earlier this year Nicole Wheatley, Director of Medi8 Limited, is excited by the new partnership, “The day I spent with new and existing members of the On Course Foundation left a lasting impression on me. It really was inspiring to see how golf was being used to build confidence and make such a genuine difference to peoples’ lives. The camaraderie was amazing and I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to bring the charity to the fore.”
