Ojee Golf, the north-east England based company behind the innovative TALON golf training aid, has received a further boost after it was accepted on to a renowned business advancement programme.

Entrepreneurial Spark is the world’s largest free business accelerator for early stage and growing ventures. Its proprietary ‘entrepreneurial enablement’ programme takes entrepreneurs through a cognitive and action-centred development process, lasting between six and 18 months, and affords access to more than 50 business mentors.

It is working with partner the RBS Group – NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank – to step up support for thousands of entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses. And Ojee Golf is part of its next tranche of small businesses to join in August.

Matt Hulbert, co-founder of Ojee Golf with his father Paul, explained: “Entrepreneurial Spark has assisted more than 660 companies, reducing costs and helping them achieve a stable position where they are both investable and back-able.

“Ojee Golf has started well, but I know that no man is an island. We can benefit from the experience and advice the mentors have to offer as we look to ramp up both our production and sales processes.”

The company’s flagship product, the TALON – which provides feedback on the set-up position – continues to be adopted by golfers and coaches alike, with UK top-25 coach Kevin Craggs just one of the latest to utilise it in his daily routine.

The innovative TALON training aid delivers real-time, visual feedback through a digital display unit that attaches to the top of any golf club. Together with a separate, wireless back unit, the TALON utilises patent-pending technology to remove guesswork by calculating and displaying clearly four critical angles of address: spine angle, club-shaft angle, club-shaft-to-spine angle, and rotation angle of the club-face.

The TALON retails at £225 and can be purchased through the Ojee Golf website and golf club professionals.
