PGA Professional Karl Hepple has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Norman Garon Trust, an organisation that focuses on the provision of sport and recreational facilities in Southend, Essex.
The Norman Garon Trust, which was founded in 1982, is involved in the provision of multiple sports facilities at Garon Park in Southend, including cricket, football, netball and padel tennis. It also operates Garon Park Golf Complex and Garon Castle Adventure Golf, both hugely successful facilities that attract a wide demographic of local people.
Hepple takes up the new post after serving as Director of Golf & Leisure at Stoke-by-Nayland Resort for the past five years. Prior to that he was an assistant golf manager at Matfen Hall in Northumberland, and also spent five years as a golf operations manager for Macdonald Hotels & Resorts.
Commenting on his new role, Hepple said: “When I saw the job advertised, I knew it was a perfect match for me. The Norman Garon Trust has already provided so much to enhance the lives of the local community in Southend. I can’t wait to work with the team to develop and strengthen those community relationships that have been so vital up to this point.”
