Nike Golf welcomes 100+ key retail partners to Archerfield

Swoosh snagMore than 100 key retail partners from across Europe were treated to Tour player insights from Nike Golf athletes Francesco Molinari and Thorbjørn Olesen, ahead of the annual Swoosh Cup at the iconic Archerfield Golf Club in Scotland.

Accounts were also given the opportunity to try a selection of new products, including the Vapor Pro driver and Vapor Pro irons currently being used by world No. 1 Rory McIlroy, at the world’s first Nike Performance Fitting Centre.

In addition to the 100+ accounts witnessing the stunning Volt evening display were Nike Golf President Cindy Davis, and the Global Leadership Team from Beaverton, Oregon, as well as Nike Golf EMEA General Manager Angus Moir.

“We are extremely thankful to Francesco and Thorbjørn for coming to the event, and showcasing their ball-striking excellence to our guests. We are also delighted that so many influential customers chose to join us at the spectacular Archerfield as we outlined our marketplace plans for 2015,” he commented.

“We’ve seen the impact of the Summer of Rory McIlroy, and we want to build on that momentum and make it The Year of Nike Golf. We have the world’s best player – fresh off a summer of two Majors and a WGC win – currently in the new Vapor Pro driver and Pro irons, so it was great that our visitors got the opportunity to test the products currently in Rory’s bag.

“At Nike Golf, we believe there is always better, always more to come, and the event at Archerfield gave us the perfect platform to demonstrate this,” Moir added.

Brian Karl, Nike Golf EMEA Sales Director, was also grateful to the accounts that made the trip to Scotland for the event.

“Nike Golf is committed to working with customers who share our vision to serve the end-consumer better, so it was great to have so many join us at Archerfield. By improving relationships with these key partners we believe we will elevate our brand to help drive sell-through, and also make the buying experience a better one for golfers than in the past,” Karl said.

The three-day experience culminated in the second annual Nike Golf EMEA Swoosh Cup. In total, 44 European Swoosh Nike Advisory staff competed in a Team Europe v Team UK match in both singles and fourballs.

Team Europe, skippered by Patrick Wolff (WW Golf Store, Switzerland), were victorious over a Daniel Webster-led Team UK, with the final score 71Ž2 to 41Ž2.
