Officials from aboutGOLF and the PGA of America have announced the completion of a custom-built, multi-simulator wall at the new PGA of America headquarters in Frisco, Texas.

This one-of-a kind simulator setup will include seven hitting bays with open-concept, ‘driving-range style’ stalls.

“We are honored to unveil our aboutGOLF Simulator platform tailored for the new PGA of America Education Center Headquarters,” said aboutGOLF CEO Ken Kamada.  “Knowing that our 3Trak machine vision technology will be used in the PGA of America’s education curriculum where over 30,000 PGA Professional Instructors teach millions of golfers annually validates our industry leading platform. We look forward to this long-term relationship with the PGA of America and growing the game.”

The simulator will be utilized for the indoor teaching curriculum at the PGA of America’s new headquarters. It will include full simulator functionality for practice and course play, and will also be equipped with aG Balance, aboutGOLF’s balance and weight measurement system, and aG Flix, aboutGOLF’s integrated video recording system. A pitched floor for ball return will help ensure a safe environment for students and instructors.

The premise of aboutGOLF’s is that Modern Golf should be played anytime, anywhere, and by anyone. No matter the golfer’s skill level or years in the game, aboutGOLF has something for everyone. For those who are more advanced, aboutGOLF’s camera system is stereo vision. With two or more cameras with a very high rate of capture, AG will accurately determine the 3D location of the ball in flight. The system measures the exact rotation of the ball surface, which gives the most accurate and authentic nature of the golfing experience in the simulator.

In addition to the customized installation and the industry-leading camera technology, aboutGolf brings its subscribers and users together to enjoy competing with, and against, each other through virtual golf competitions and challenges.
