The Golf Consultants Association (GCA) has welcomed three premium corporate partners to its new programme which is designed to establish closer links across various sections of the golf industry.
Hampshire-based Huxley Golf, a specialist in premier all-weather surfaces for golf, is one of the new trio of GCA partners, and has been joined by Suffolk-based Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd – a supplier of quality turf maintenance equipment for more than 184 years – and American company Rain Bird, the world leader in manufacturing irrigation systems and products.
Other companies are now set to follow suit as the unique group of industry specialists, with a wide-ranging set of skills, pool their resources to develop more business opportunities.
Howard Swan, the chairman of the GCA, is planning to expand the corporate partnership and is keen to attract more partners in the coming months.
Swan said: “We have a membership of almost 30 experienced consultants in the business of golf, encompassing 20 different disciplines and specialties.
“But we believe this partnership programme will help to build links with various sections of the golf industry to allow companies to work together throughout the world.
“It’s a promising sign that three companies have already joined the partnership and we look forward to welcoming more to further broaden the expertise on offer.”
The GCA, formed in 1999, is unique in the UK in its ability to make available a team of highly-respected and experienced golf industry professionals to see any phase of a project through from conception to end.
GCA members can offer specialist skills in any number of aspects of golf operations, including buying, selling and financing golf developments; golf marketing and media relations; designing and building golf courses and driving ranges; environmental golf development; golf market research; and much more.
